THE ART OF BAD MEN

(6 actors)

Summary

It’s 1945. Thousands of German soldiers are trapped behind barbed wire in Iowa, while back home their world is collapsing. Every one of them is terrified. But for a few, a POW camp production of a Moliere play may give them a chance—either to escape or to transcend.

Powerful…funny, gripping and memorable…

From the script:

Harvey holds the guitar.

GERHARDT
Place your right fingers over the fretboard.   Gently curled.   Good.  Good.  She is your love, and she likes how you are holding her.  Do you sense that?  She likes you.  Play your first chord.

HARVEY Moved.
I just want to sit here for a minute.
